Christin Achermann is Assistant Professor in Migration Studies and Migration Law at the Centre for Migration Law (Centre de droit des migrations CDM) at the University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland). From 2002-2009 she was a researcher at the Swiss Forum for Migration and Population Studies SFM at the University of Neuchâtel. Doing research on migration and integration in Switzerland she is especially interested in questions of social and legal inclusion and exclusion: naturalization, undocumented migrants, foreigners in prisons and deportation of criminal non-nationals. In these different areas she studied how and with which consequences written law is put into practice. She has extensively published on these topics and continues to study related questions. Christin Achermann is member of the IMISCOE Network of Excellence (Cluster B3: Migration and Citizenship).
