Antoinette Scherz is a Postdoctoral Fellow at PluriCourts, University of Oslo. She has previously worked as Research Fellow & Permanent Member of the Board of Directors at the Centre for Advanced Studies “Justitia Amplificata” at the Goethe University Frankfurt and as a Research Fellow at the University of Zurich. Antoinette Scherz works in the field of political philosophy, with special interest in international political theory, legitimacy, democratic theory, the concept of the people, and autonomy. She has published articles in journals such as the Critical Review of International Social and Political Philosophy (CRISPP), European Law Journal and Ethnic and Migration Studies. Furthermore, she is the co-editor of a recent special issue of CRISPP, which focuses on normative and conceptual questions of legitimacy beyond the state.
