Questions on EU citizenship after Brexit referred to the ECJ

The presiding judge of an Amsterdam court will refer preliminary questions on the consequences of the British withdrawal from the European Union to the European Court of Justice. The question will address the EU citizenship rights of British nationals after the Brexit, and deliberate on whether these rights will be reversed or retained, and if so, under what circumstances. The referral follows a case submitted to an Amsterdam court by five British nationals, asking for clarification of their rights under EU law.
