Maria Helena Varela graduated in Law at the Faculdade de Direito of Universidade de Coimbra, has a Master’s degree in Business Law (specialization in Labour Law) at the Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE) and is currently doing her PhD on the human rights of undocumented migrant workers at the Faculdade de Direito of Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
