Melisa Ross (PhD, Humboldt Universität zu Berlin) is a Postdoctoral researcher at SOCIUM Research Center on Inequality, University of Bremen. She received her PhD in 2022. In the past, she was a research fellow at the LATINNO project (Democracy and Democratization Department, WZB Berlin Social Science Center) and the Healthier Democracies project (Public Agenda, New York, USA). She currently co-leads the Global Citizens’ Assemblies Network (GloCAN) and is part of the Global Solidarity cluster (GlobaLab) at the University of Bremen. Her research spans contemporary Latin American politics, neoliberalism and postneoliberalism, citizen participation, deliberation, and democratic innovations, especially at the regional and transnational level.
