Tahir Herenda is a Senior Teaching and Research Assistant at the Department for Comparative Law, Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (2016) and a Master of Laws (2018) from the University of Sarajevo, and an LL.M. in Comparative Constitutional Law from Central European University (2020). In March 2026, he defended his PhD dissertation at the University of Sarajevo, focusing on post-conflict imposed consociations.

His primary research interests include comparative constitutional law, post-conflict institutional design, power-sharing mechanisms, and media law. He has completed research stays at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg, the University of Graz, Saarland University, and Queen’s University Belfast. His work on power-sharing, electoral design, and freedom of expression appears in peer-reviewed journals including Studies in Ethnicity and Nationalism and Nationalism and Ethnic Politics, as well as edited volumes published by Brill-Nijhoff.
