Vladimir-Adrian Costea is a researcher and practitioner at the National Institute of Statistics of Romania, with an interdisciplinary research profile spanning political science, public administration, sociology and European studies. He holds a BA, MA and PhD in Political Science from the Faculty of Political Science, University of Bucharest, and has published research in the fields of political science and public administration.

His research interests focus particularly on public-sector innovation, artificial intelligence and digital transformation in public administration, governance and institutional change. He has also conducted research on clemency and pardon policies in Romania and across the European Union.

Dr. Costea was a postdoctoral fellow at the Research Institute of the University of Bucharest (ICUB), where he further developed his interdisciplinary research agenda and experience in academic research. 

Dr. Costea combines expertise in political science with professional experience in official statistics.
