Igor Stiks is professor at the Faculty of Media and Communication in Belgrade and senior researcher at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. He is  the author of Nations and Citizens in Yugoslavia and the Post-Yugoslav States: One Hundred Years of Citizenship (Bloomsbury 2015) and, with Srećko Horvat, Welcome to the Desert of Post-Socialism: Radical Politics after Yugoslavia (Verso 2015). Recently, with Krunoslav Stojakovic, he published The New Balkan Left: Struggles, Successes, Failures. His novels A Castle in RomagnaThe Judgment of Richard Richter (originally published as Elijah’s Chair) and W have been translated into 15 languages.
