Prof Engin Isin is Professor Emeritus in International Politics at the Department of Sociology, Politics and International Relations, Queen Mary University of London.
Before joining Queen Mary, Engin was a professor of politics at the Open University (2007-2016) and professor of social science (1993-2001) and Canada Research Chair (2002-2007) in the Division of Social Science, York University. He gained his first degree in the Faculty of Architecture at Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey (1982) and his PhD in geography at University of Toronto, Canada (1990).
