Unequal effects of laws affect the voting rights of minorities in the US

The article builds on data provided by the Sentencing Project, a nonprofit organisation focused on criminal justice reform. According to experts, say racial disparities in sentencing have had a disproportionate effect on the voting rights of African-American and Hispanic communities.
