Foreign-born sex abusers to be stripped of their UK citizenship

The United Kingdom Home Secretary Theresa May has proposed measures to enable the Home Office to strip dual nationals who are convicted of sexual crimes from their UK citizenship. The proposal comes in response to the increase in sex abuse gangs in the country and after the conviction of six Asian-born men for multiple rape in Rotherham in South Yorkshire. The UK applies similar measures for individuals involved in or supportive of terrorist activities.
