On 9 July, the Greek Parliament has adopted the bill reintroducing citizenship by declaration for children born or raised in Greece. The revised law entered into force at the date of the publication of the law in the Official Gazette, with the exception of provisions 5 and 6 of article 8, which apply as of 1 September 2015 (administrative provisions).
