Alberto Achermann, Dr. in International Law and Lawyer and lecturer at the University of Fribourg, is a nationwide-known specialist in migration and citizenship law. Since his innovative doctoral thesis on state responsibilities towards migration flows he continuously deepened his knowledge in this transversal field. He is author of several publications in migration law. Latest publications are his Swiss Annual Report on Migration law (edited with Martina Caroni, Astrid Epiney, Walter Kälin, Minh Son Nguyen and Peter Übersax) and his study on linguistic minorities as new challenges for the constitutional nation state.
