Noemi Carrel is a Ph. D. Student at the University of Neuchâtel and a scientific collaborator of the Swiss Forum for Migration and Population Studies (SFM). She holds a M.A. in Migration and Citizenship Studies. Her research interests are focused on migration, citizenship, political participation and political system. Within her PhD thesis she is working on the political participation of migrants in local politics and the recruitment procedures in Swiss municipalities for political mandates.
