University and Externaso

Ph.D. Alexandra Castro is a Colombian lawyer with a masters degree in human rights and humanitarian law from University Paris 2 Pantheon Assas and a Doctoral degree from the same university. She works as researcher of international law international migrations and human rights at the University and Externaso of Colombia where she also created and heads the Observatory on International Migrations. She is also working as independent consultant on migratory affairs. Her research focuses on human mobility, migration governance, and migrants’ human rights especially across or in relation to Latin America.
