Jing-Han Chen recently graduated from the University of Edinburgh, where she earned her PhD in July 2023. Her thesis was subsequently awarded the PhD Thesis Prize by the Taiwan Society of International Law. Her PhD research focused on issues surrounding contested citizenship, with a particular emphasis on the case of Tibetan exiles and overseas Taiwanese people. Her research interests include citizenship law, contested citizenship, citizenship of non-citizens, disputed sovereignty, nationality, legal history, legal feminism, immigration, refugees, statelessness, international law, and international private law. She currently works as a tutor of International Law and International Private Law at the University of Edinburgh.
