Francesca Decimo is Associate professor in Sociology at the Department of Sociology and Social Research, University of Trento. She has written widely in the area of migration and ethnic studies, with particular attention on: migration, identity and reproduction; transnational migration; female and family migration; aging, immigration and domestic work; housing and ethnic segregation. Her publications include articles in Italian and international journals, editions and the book Quando emigrano le donne. Reti e percorsi femminili della mobilità transnazionale (Il Mulino, 2005).
