Dilek Çınar is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science and International Relations of Boğazici University in Istanbul. She has also taught at the Universities of Vienna, Salzburg and Innsbruck (2003-2007) and was a guest professor of Gender Studies at the University of Vienna in the fall of 2007. From 1996 to 2005 she was a Research Fellow at the European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research in Vienna where she co-ordinated the International Migration Programme from 1998-2000 and 2002-2005. Prior to joining the European Centre, she was a Research Fellow at the Department of Political Science of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Vienna, Austria (1990-1995).
