Suriname

Rinette Djokarto is a lecturer at the Anton de Kom University of Suriname. She holds a Law degree and has pursued advanced interdisciplinary training, earning dual Master’s degrees in Public Administration and Public Health. 

Her expertise extends to international monitoring and evaluation, serving as a member of the Organization of American States (OAS) Monitoring and Evaluation Committee of the Belém do Pará Convention on Violence against Women. She has also contributed nationally as a former member of the Constitutional Court of Suriname. 

Currently, Ms. Djokarto is in the final stage of her doctoral research trajectory at the University of Leiden (Netherlands), where she continues to advance her academic and professional commitment to law, governance, and public health.
