Ecuador and Chile

Gabriel Echeverría obtained in 2016 his PhD at the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. His dissertation compared the experience of Ecuadorian irregular migrants in the cities of Madrid and Amsterdam. Adopting a social systems perspective, the work inquired into the complex relations between states, societies and migrants. His research interests include: social theory, citizenship and migration policies. He was born in Ecuador, and raised between Italy and his birthplace. Currently he is research fellow at the University of Trento.
