Kamilla Galicz is a postdoctoral researcher at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, where she did her PhD in Law. Prior to starting her PhD, she had gained professional experience as a COI-specialist at the (then) Hungarian Immigration and Asylum Office and as a trainee lawyer at a prestigious law firm in Budapest. From October 2023 to February 2024, she was visiting research fellow at the University of Graz. Her main research interests are migration, asylum, citizenship, the protection of fundamental rights in contexts of democratic backsliding and the role of courts and human rights monitoring bodies.
