Zambia
Kelly Kapianga is a Zambian lawyer admitted to the Zambian bar on 14 March 2014 and currently employed as a Senior Associate with LCK Chambers. He holds an LLB degree from the University of Zambia 2012 graduating top of his class, an Msc in Criminology and Criminal Justice with merit from the University of Oxford (2019) and a Master of Laws Degree from Harvard University Law School (2020). Kelly began his professional career with Corpus Legal Practitioners as an intern in 2010 and ascended to the position of associate in 2014 a position he held until leaving Corpus in 2018. Kelly also co-founded Undikumbukire Project Zambia a non-profit providing legal support to children in conflict with the law and child migrants in 2014. In UP Zambia, I was director of legal interventions and I oversaw the provision of legal assistance to children and coordinated the work of pro bono lawyers assisting children. He also helped establish legal aid clinics with the University of Zambia and Baylor University through which we provided law students with hands-on training in criminal defence and human rights legal work. Kelly is also a Beit-Wadham College (Oxford) Scholar, a Fulbright Scholar, Mandela Washington Fellow (2016), a Sakharov Fellow (2017), a Young Global Changer (2017) and a Royal Commonwealth Fellow (2018).
