Dr Youngmi Kim is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Asian Studies at the University of Edinburgh (Scotland, UK) and Director of the Scottish Centre for Korean Studies. Her interests are in party politics in East Asia, online activism and populism, global cities, inequality and polarisation. Youngmi has written widely on the Korean Peninsula and on Myanmar.
