Sofia Näsström is Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Government, Uppsala University. She is co-editor of the book Political Equality in Transnational Democracy  (New York: Palgrave, 2013), and has written extensively on topics related to the democratic boundary problem, political representation and “the people”. She is currently completing a monograph entitled The Spirit of Democracy: Sources of Corruption and Renewal.
