David Owen is Professor of Social and Political Philosophy at the University of Southampton. He has published nine books, most recently the collectively authored Prospects of Citizenship (Bloomsbury, 2011), as well as articles and book chapters on a wide range of topics in social and political theory. Recent work includes: ‘Refugees, Fairness and Taking up Slack’, Moral Philosophy and Politics 2016; 3(2): 141–164; ‘Citizenship and Human Rights’ in Shachar et al. (eds.)
