Isabel Rosales is a political scientist, and a Ph.D. candidate at the GIGA Institute of Latin American Studies and the Universität Hamburg, Germany. Her dissertation focuses on how state-led transnationalism is challenging traditional notions of sovereignty from sending states through the implementation of migration policies. It is a comparative case study of El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. Her research interests include migration policy, political transnationalism and Central America. She is a member of the CLACSO Working Group: Migration, Culture and Policies.
