María Rubi has a M.A. (with Merit) in Pubic Policy with specialization in International Organizations by the Central European University (CEU) of Budapest, Hungary; and a B.A. in International Relations from Instituto Tecnologico Auntomomo de Mexico (ITAM) of Mexico City.
She is an international development specialist with extensive experience conducting research in topics such as governance, inequality, migration and regional development. She has devoted the last eight years of her work experience to using social media and information and communications technologies (ICTs) to disseminate knowledge, as well as raising awareness of critical issues in international development such as corruption, poverty and human rights.
