Nanda Saraswati is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya, and a PhD candidate at Macquarie Law School, Australia. Her academic interests include citizenship and statelessness, freedom of religion or belief, international human rights law, minority rights, and human rights protection in Southeast Asia. Her doctoral research examines the interaction between international freedom of religion or belief standards and Indonesia’s domestic legal and institutional order, including through the Universal Periodic Review process. She has published in the Human Rights Law Review and has also written on citizenship and statelessness in Indonesia, including issues of legal identity, documentation, and access to citizenship. She is a member of the Indonesian Society of International Law Lecturers, the Indonesian Association of Human Rights (SEPAHAM Indonesia), and the Indonesian Scholar Network on Freedom of Religion or Belief (ISFORB).
