Reinhard Schweitzer is a Research Professor and “Ramón y Cajal” Fellow at the Department of Law and Political Science of the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU in Barcelona, and Associate Researcher at the Sussex Centre for Migration Research (SCMR) in Brighton, UK. He holds a PhD in Migration Studies as well as degrees in Political Science and Sociology and works on the interplay between migration and migration governance. Since September 2024 he is the PI of the research project CITREST: Citizenship as Restitution – EUropean passports as redress for past injustice and opportunity for future migration
