Institute on Statelessness and Inclusion
Caia is Research and Education Officer and Year of Action Coordinator at the Institute on Statelessness and Inclusion. Alongside her work at the Institute, Caia is a part-time Lecturer at the Department of Public Law & Governance at Tilburg Law School. Here, she is completing her doctoral research on the issue of statelessness in Europe, focusing on European legal instruments that can contribute to preventing and solving statelessness. Furthermore, she is an Associate Tutor for the module on statelessness, nationality and the protection of stateless persons in the MA Refugee Protection and Forced Migration Studies of the University of London. Caia has considerable experience in teaching statelessness and fundamental rights, and has published different articles and papers on the issue of statelessness. She holds an LLM in international and European law (cum laude) and an LLM in legal research (cum laude) from Tilburg University.
