Patrick Wautelet, who graduated from the Saint Louis Law School (B.A.) and Leuven University (J.D. and PhD), is a Professor at the Université de Liège Law School (www.droit.ulg.ac.be), where his teaching and research concentrates on legal aspects of cross-border situations with a strong emphasis on cross-border family relationships, including nationality law, and cross-border commercial transactions and contracts. He has been an attorney with a large firm in Brussels for 7 years (focusing on cross-border transactions and disputes). He was a visiting researcher at Harvard Law School (1999-2000) and is a visiting professor at Deusto University (Bilbao), MGIMO (Moscow) and EDHEC Business School (France). He is currently the president of the Belgian Society for International Law.
