Austrian Academy of Sciences

Wiebke Sievers is researcher at the Commission for Migration and Integration Research at the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Originally trained in translation at the universities of Düsseldorf and Warwick, she has been involved in two comparative research projects dealing with citizenship policies in Europe. She is co-editor of the volume Citizenship Policies in the New Europe that describes the citizenship laws in the twelve new EU Member States as well as in the accession states Croatia and Turkey and analyses their historical background.
