10,720 persons get Bulgarian citizenship in 2015

The number of naturalisations in Bulgaria in 2015 has reached 10,720, almost the double when compared to 2014. Almost a half of the applications came from the neighbouring Macedonia, and significant numbers of applicants came from Ukraine, Moldova, Serbia, and Russia. Most of the applicants gained citizenship of this country on grounds of Bulgarian ancestry.
