The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) recently released its first global report on the state of national migration governance. The report, Migration Governance Indicators: A Global Perspective, provides a global overview on migration governance based on data collected and analysed in 49 countries between 2015 and 2019 through the Migration Governance Indicators (MGI) project.
Two of our databases, CITLAW and ELECLAW, are featured in the report and in the ‘Migration policies and governance’ webpage of the IOM’s Migration Data Portal. The report also covers other databases, including our partner projects EMIX and MiTSoPro.
This is the second outcome of the collaboration between GLOBALCIT and the IOM. In the past, our team had contributed to the ‘Citizenship and migration’ page of the IOM’s Migration Data Portal with an infographic and a set of definitions drawn from our Glossary.
